So what is Google SMS Channels. This is a new product from Google, still in Google Lab, it allows you subscribe to online contents (blogs, news alerts, weather updates, stocks, horoscopes, cricket scores, etc) as updates through SMS, for free… yes!! FREE. Some popular blogs have already created their own groups, you can subscribe to them. An account has to be created first, and the mobile number needs to be validated. Once that is done, subscribing to sms groups or creating groups is easy. Yes, with Google SMS Channels it is also possible to create SMS groups for your friends, blog readers, etc. So keeping in touch with family and friends via SMS just got easier. So go on, create you sms groups and yenjoi!!!

Ya, that’s the name of the Twitter Song. I have been on Twitter for slightly more than a month. And I’m totally hooked to it.

For all those of you, who aren’t on Twitter yet, this song says it all…

Technology was moving rather quickly
And the next thing you needed was a blog
With intimate and detailed press releases
And now and then a photo of your dog

More recently the students brought us Facebook
And everybody has a hundred friends
The parties in the photos look amazing
They’re not so great but everyone pretends

Now you need to publish every movement
And every single thought to cross your mind
I’m told the Twitterverse is full of rubbish
But most of us are actually quite refined

We validate each other’s insecurities
And brag about the gadgets that we’ve bought
We laugh out loud at every hint of jolliness
And try to self-promote without being caught
