First of all, I have never attended any “unconference” like Barcamps, Tweetups etc. Actually I came to know of these things only recently, after I joined Twitter that is. Anyways I have registered for Wicamp Bangalore, thats gonna be happening on 14th Oct, 08.

The name is Devakishor.. not Devakishore!!

My name is D-E-V-A-K-I-S-H-O-R and not “Devakishore”. I know “Kishore” is quite common in India but my parents spelt my name as “kishor” and it stays that way.

I’m seriously tired of people fucking up my name, I really am. I can understand if someone who I just met or got introduced to spelt it wrong. But if the same mistake is made when, I filled up a form and they transfer it elsewhere, it kinda sucks. This actually happened when I applied for a job. I submitted my resume with the “correct” spelling of my name but most of the e-mail correspondence address me as “devakishore”…. WHY?… You fucktards..!!!! Can’t you READ..?????

Then something happened today, that triggered me to write this post. On Twitter someone replied to my post with @devakishore..!! i wasn’t pissed off or anything this time. I actually felt it was funny how almost everyone screw up my name. And then I found this group on Facebook I’m Tired Of People Fucking Up My Name. And all this while I thought it was just my name that use to get fucked… lolz..
